Tecnopackaging works on different projects related to its areas of expertise. Some of them are:

Plastic Materials

  • Development of a newly formulated PHA with reduced production costs.
  • Development of high barrier material for the manufacture of packaging addressed to the food, cosmetics and/or pharmaceuticals markets.

Multifunctional Packaging

  • Design of and hybrid Wood -Plastic container for the fermentation and aging of wines.
  • Development of a new multifunctional container for preserving fishery products.
  • Using making Supercritical Fluids to improve the sustainability of food packaging
  • Development of new packaging solutions with lower environmental impact and improved barrier properties to extend the shelf- life of packaged products.

Industrial Plastic Applications

  • Design and prototyping of hip hybrid system made of advanced materials.
  • Development a light-blow headboard based on nanotechnology

Transformation Processes

  • Development of extrusion blow molding technology coupled with supercritical fluid technology

Eco-Innovation

  • Supercritical Fluids application to improve the sustainability of food packaging
  • Development of new packaging with lower environmental impact and improved barrier properties to extend the self-life of packaged products.
  • Development of software tool based on Life Cycle Analysis´s methodology, to evaluate the environmental impact of industrial processes.
