Last Wednesday April 15th 2014, the first consortium meeting of the EUROPHA project (CM1) took place in INSPIRALIA facilities located at Campus Cantoblanco in Madrid.
As the first consortium meeting after the kickoff meeting, the current state of affairs of the project and the first technical results obtained by the moment were presented to the members. The PHA extracted from the tested raw materials, agrifood wastes and surplus streams, begins to draw its first and fruitful results. Consequently, former tests of PHA extraction and purification of the biomass generated have been completed by comparing different methods. Both investigations are still up and running.
Besides the technical status of the project, other issues related to dissemination and exploitation activities were discussed, and we are glad to anticipate that soon we will have at your disposal a brochure that will disclose more details about the ongoing project.
