Program: HORIZON-JU-CBE-2022
Duration: 48 months, June 2023 – May 2027
Partners: CRICE (coordinator), Aitiip, TECNOPACKAGING, NOVAMONT, PATURPAT, DLG, DTI, CHIMAR, FOOD+I, FBCD, ENCO, EBB, BHCZ
Objetive: The BRILIAN project has been designed to support the adoption of sustainable and cooperative business models in rural areas and enable a better transition towards bio-based economies, playing a key role in the revitalization of these regions and promoting sustainable economic and social development, turning primary producers into active players in the supply chain, in line with the objectives set out in the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), the Green Pact and the European Bioeconomy Strategy.

Aiming to expand the agribusiness business model and tap its full potential, BRILIAN will:
- Work with 10 bio-based value chains using thistle, safflower, sunflower, potato and rapeseed as raw materials.
- Develop sustainable business models covering a wide range of bio-based products with high added value, such as bioplastics, bio lubricants, proteins, bio adhesives, bioherbicides, products for animal feed or cosmetics.
- Enable primary producers to diversify their sources of income while reducing risk.
